Dear Family and Friends,
How are you all doing? I am doing just great here in Glendale - Sharing the Gospel and helping others Come unto Christ. The weather is really nice, it is pretty warm during the day and it get s kind of cold in the nights. I had a wonderful week in the mission field with wonderful spiritual experiences. Georgianna got baptized on Saturday and I had the honor to baptizing her. The spirit was so strong as she made her covenants with our Heavenly Father and enter the path towards Eternal Life. She was so excited the whole week and was full of joy as she got baptized and became a Disciple of Jesus Christ. Her newly husband and some of her family came to witness her baptism. My companion and Elder Goldsberry in our district focused the missionary presentation on families and it definitely brought a great spirit that Family can be Together Forever through living the Gospel. We hope the husband gets interested in learning about the Gospel and how it can strengthen their families and lead them to the Temple. Georgianna said he might want to take the missionary lessons soon, so we keep praying and she is still working with him. On Saturday, we had a mission conference where we got to meet and shake hands with Elder Neil L. Anderson - Quorum of the Twelve Apostle and General Authorities Elder Maynes & President of the Seventy & Bishop Causse. It was a very powerful and spiritual meeting to hear them talk. To be in the presence of an Apostle of the Lord - a special witness of Jesus Christ was such a privilege. He gave a wonderful talk on the Doctrine of Christ and how we teach all those we come in contact with that the fulness of the Gospel has been restored in these days. It was wonderful to be there with all the missionaries in the Arizona Phoenix Mission. Saturday was a spiritually packed day with Mission Conference and a wonderful Baptism for Georgianna and another Baptism for Jessie and Georgianna (Elder Mason and Goldsberry), both companionship in our districts had a baptism this past weekend and we were so excited. I had some wonderful experiences this week. On Thursday, I was on splits with a ward missionary visiting an investigator in an apartment complex when a lady came up to us wanting to learn more about our Church. So we talked to her for a while and got her contact information so we can go back and teach her more. Then on Sunday we were riding our bikes to our Dinner appointment when a guy was yelling at us. So we went back to talk to him and he said he was interested in learning about the Gospel so we talked to him and got his contact information. He lives out of our area so we referred him to the missionaries in his area, but still a wonderful experience to see the Lord truly prepares people to receive the Gospel we just have to pray to be at the right place at the right time so we can teach them the Gospel. The Ledesma kids are doing good, they were planned to be baptized on October 27 but they cannot untill they come to church twice. We are going to change their date to November. The Armstrong kids are also doing great, they are ready to be baptized but they need to come to church too. The grandma said she will shock us this weekend and bring them to church so we hope it happens and we will do everything we can to help them Come to Church and feel the Spirit. Well that was my awesome week in the mission field doing the Lords work and helping other enjoy the blessings that our Heavenly Father has for them as they are obedient in living the restored Gospel. Hope everyone is doing fantastic. I love and miss you all. My prayers are with you always. Until next week. Take care.
Love,
Elder Lance Cabral
