Enseñar el Evangelio en Glendale Arizona es Maravilloso - Teaching the Gospel in Glendale Arizona is Wonderful

Hola Familia y Amigos,

Como estas to do? Well, I am doing great here in Glendale teaching the Gospel and helping others Come unto Christ by helping them build their Faith and receive the Restored Gospel.  The weather was pretty nice this week it was cloudy a few days but it still felt pretty hot with the humidity.  We had some great lessons this week with our investigators that we are teaching.  Barb is doing great, she has a great desire to learn more about the Gospel and be Baptized.  She is almost ready to be Baptized on September 8 but she needs to come to Church a few more times and realize the importance of Keeping the Sabbath Day so we might move her date back a week.  Vanessa (20yr), Camia (8yr), and Tashaney (11yr) are doing great.  We had some great lessons with them on watching the Restoration, a short video clip on Thomas s. Monson, and went over the Baptismal requirements with them.  We moved their date back to September 8 to prepare them more because we only met with Camia and Tashaney on the weekends because of school.  We also met with The Luzinia Family, we taught Jessica (15yr) and her sister Joegiana (23yr) this week - we read the Book of Mormon with them and committed them to be Baptized on September 15.  We are trying to get the 2 brothers involved in the lessons but they sit down for a while then leave.  They like to come to YM/YW on Wednesday so we are going to let them enjoy that and hopefully from that they will be interested in learning about the Gospel sometime soon.  We also met with Joanne this week and still teaching her and reading the Book of Mormon with her to help her receive an answer that the Church is true.  We know if she has a sincere heart she will receive an answer by the Holy Ghost that it is true.  We had a great Sabbath Day yesterday.  We had 5 investigators come to Church, great talks and lessons.  We also had our monthly Cottage meeting yesterday at our Stake Presidency's home on the Plan of Salvation.  President Bingam taught it very well and he sang some wonderful songs on his guitar that made the Spirit there so strong.  Well that was my great week in the mission field serving the Lord and helping others receive the Gospel and bring Eternal Happiness and Joy into their lives.  September is looking to be a great month of baptisms for our investigators.  I hope they continue to have a desire to enter into the first ordinance of the Gospel and stay on the right and narrow path towards Eternal Life.  Being a missionary and representing Jesus Christ is the greatest work ever.  It is hard work but well worth it when you receive the blessing and helping our Heavenly Father fullfill his work and his glory to bring to pass immortality and eternal life of man to all his children so they can return to live with him and our families for eternity.  I know that our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ lives and loves us all.  Take care until next week.

Te amo todo,

*The DOCTRINE of CHRIST - ENDURING to the END is FUN*

Aloha Ohana and Friends,

How is everyone doing?  How is the weather back home?  Well for me, I am doing just great here in Glendale - sharing the Gospel and helping our Heavenly Father's children receive the restored Gospel.  The weather has pretty hot this week.  Some days were nice because it was cloudy but it was humid.  Well the work is going great in the Rose Lane Ward.  Tuesday, we had zone conference, which was spiritual, a great meeting of learning, about planning better, and using the sacred time we have to serve the Lord more wisely.  It is always great to always have effective activities that help us fulfill our purpose to help others Come unto Christ and receive the restored Gospel.  We also learned about our monthly focus which is the Doctrine of Christ: Enduring to the End.  We have to make sure our investigators understand that they must continue to live the commandments to in order to enjoy the blessing that our Heavenly Father has for us in this life and in the next.  They have to continue to build their Faith by reading the scriptures, praying, coming to church to renew their covenants and learn more about our Heavenly Father's plan for us to return to live with him someday with our families.  We had some great teaching with our investigators this week and set more dates for baptism.  We had a great lesson with Barb on the Gospel of Jesus Christ and she accepted our invitation to be baptized on September 8.  She understood the importance of why Jesus Christ was baptized and why we must follow his example to enter the kingdom of God.  We also met with Joanne this week and read the Book of Mormon with her and addressed her concerns.  She felt the spirit and accepted to be baptized on September 28.  We were so surprised with her because we thought it would be a while for her to make the commitment to be baptized.  We took Vanessa and her 2 sisters Camille and Tashane to a Baptism on Saturday to witness how a baptism goes. The spirit was so great at the baptism and it made them more excited to be baptized.  We are pushing back their baptism to September 1 to prepare them more.  We had an awesom Sabbath Day, yesterday.  We had 10 investigators come to church, compared to 1 last week.  Our great planning and focusing on the Sabbath day paid off.  We reminded them about church that morning and set up rides for those who did not have transportation to church.  I taught the Gospel Principal Class on chapter 13 the Priesthood.  I was so nervous but as I started teaching it was just like a teaching appointment just let the spirit guide you - what to say and it was a pretty easy subject to teach because I know a lot about it being a Priesthood holder helping others to receive the ordinances necessary for their salvation and giving blessings from our Heavenly Father.  I am so priviledged to have the Priesthood power and authority to act in Gods name to help his children on earth.  We also had a great lesson this week with the Luzinia family, we met and taught the 2 daughters Joegina and Jessica - the Restoration.  It was such a great lesson and we had a great fellowship with the family to have testified of the Gospel.  We are trying to get the whole family involved but the other family members are busy doing their own things.  Well that was my great week in the mission field Sharing the Gospel and helping others Come unto Christ.  I love being a missionary serving the Lord and helping others feel the spirit in their life that their is a Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ that loves all of us and wants us to return home to live with them and our families for eternity.  I know that through the Atonement of Jesus Christ that we can live forever.  The Gospel has been restored through Joseph Smith and we continue to have a living prophet Thomas S.  Monson that leads and guides us.  The Book of Mormon is the word of God and by reading and studying it everyday we can build our Faith in Heavenly Father and his begotten son - Jesus Christ.  My prayers are with you all.  I love and miss you guys.  Take care until next week.

*It is Surely HOT in GLENDALE but SHARING the GOSPEL still CONTINUES*

Dear Family and Friends,

How are you all doing?  I had a great week here in Glendale - Sharing the Gospel and helping our brothers and sisters enjoy the Blessings of the Gospel. The weather is still pretty hot here in Phoenix on Wednesday.  It was 116 degrees and during the night it is still above 100 degrees so you still feel the heat especially riding my bike on concrete and asphalt which the city is full of.  Well the work is going pretty well.  We met a family that just moved from Mesa this month into our area.  Only one of the daughters was baptized.  The mom and 5 kids went to church in Mesa and were investigating the church before.  We invited the kids to YW/YM on Wednesday and 3 of them came and had a great time.  We are going to start meeting with them this week and start teaching them. One of the daughters, 24 yrs old was almost baptized before she moved.  We also had a great lesson with Vanessa on Saturday at the church.  She came with her little sister and we gave them a church tour of the classes they would attend when they come to church.  Then we had a great lesson with them on the Restoration and committed her sister to be baptized with Vanessa on August 25.  They seem so excited to follow the example of Jesus Christ and be baptized.  Our Sunday attendance was alright, only one investigator came to church so we were kind of bummed.  We always remind our investigators about church and they say there be there but they do not show up.  We are going to try to focus more on the Sabbath day and the importance of church in there conversion to feel the Spirit and learn more about our Heavenly Father's plan.  Besides the low sacrament attendence, our Sunday was pretty great.  After coming out of our Ward council meeting we saw this African family (2 ladies and 2 kids sitting in the foyer) so we went up to them and introduce ourselves and gave them a church tour before sacrament started.  They had a great time especially the kids going to Primary.  It was so wonderful how they just wanted to come to a church and they came to the right church - The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  We also had some great lessons this week with Diane.  She has many concerns so we are trying to teach her the lessons while addressing her concerns.  She is starting to understand our Heavenly Father's plan and why she should be Baptized into the true church.  We are going to try and work more with the members and get referrals from people they may know that would be interested in learning about the Gospel and how it can bless their lives.  Well that was my great week here in Arizona Phoenix Mission Sharing the Gospel so our brothers and children can return to live with our Heavenly Father and Families for Eternal life.  I love being a missionary, Serving the Lord, inviting others to Come unto Christ and be happy not only for this life but the next.  Hope all is well back home.  My prayers are with you all. I love and miss you all. Thank you for all the wonderful letters of encouragement.

Love,

GLENDALE, ARIZONA IS THE PLACE TO BE

Aloha Family and Friends,

How are you all doing? Well, for me I am doing great here in Glendale serving the Lord and helping others Come unto Christ.  It was a great week for me in the mission field finding those that are waiting to hear the message of Restored Gospel and how it will bless their lives.  The weather in Arizona is still pretty hot.  I always try and stay hydrated because of this heat.  This week we focused on finding those through tracting and visiting members and asking for referrals.  We found 6 new investigators this week which was great.  On Monday, we met a guy name Karlo had a prayer with him then the next day we had a lesson with him on the Restoration.  A nice guy from Turkey, it is a little hard for him to understand because he does not know English that well.  We took him to a Baptism on Saturday and handed him over to the singles ward missionaries to teach him because he is 23 years old and single so that would be a better ward for him to meet people.  I also had a great lesson with Vanessa, the lady I found tracting last Saturday that was surprised to see us knocking on her door and she came to church the next day with her mom and 2 sisters.  I was on splits and I taught her the Plan of Salvation and committed her to be baptized on August 28.  The spirit is so amazing as you follow the promptings of the Holy Ghost it will truly guide you and help you to know what to say.  We also had a great lesson with Joanne on the Plan of Salvation.  We actually got through the complete lesson because she usually likes to talk, she is 77 and lives alone.  We are trying to get her to church but she will not commit to baptism until she knows that it is true and she does not feel like she received any answers yet.  We are going to focus on reading the Book of Mormon with her and committing her to pray to know that it is true.  The Book of Mormon is a powerful resource in someones conversion process because if they know that it is true then they will know that the Gospel was Restored through Joseph Smith and we have a living prophet - Thomas S. Monson that leads and guides the church today.  The Holy Ghost will testify the truth to those who sincerely want to know that the Gospel is true.  We got transfer news this week and I am staying in Glendale for another 6 weeks.  Well, I gotta go talk to you guys later.  All of you are in our prayers.  I love being a missionary and sharing the Gospel.

Love Always,
