*MAHALO TO ARIZONA PHOENIX MISSION (APM) FOR MAKING THE BEST TWO YEARS OF MY LIFE & THE MESA TEMPLE. I WILL SURELY MISS YOU ALL!*

Dear Family and Friends,

I had a wonderful Spiritual week in the mission field Sharing our Heavenly Father's Gospel.  It was a busy week but with lots of fun and many great experiences.  The weather is still really nice here in Arizona in the 80's during the day and the nights are not too cold yet.  To start off my awesome week on Tuesday, we had our zone interviews with some great teaching on adjusting to missionary life booklet, being focused on our purpose, cleanest car awards which Elder Bartleson and Elder Knobbe - Assistant to President Won, teaching by Elder Rodgers on reporting accident's online, and teaching members about online proselyting and how we can help them do their missionary work online.  I had a very brief interview with President Taylor on keeping strong through the rest of my mission and told me that he will let me know when my exiting interview will be later when I go back to the mission home next Monday.  On Wednesday, I was on exchanges with Elder Searl in my area.  We had a great day teaching investigators, contacting people, and setting up lessons with members.  We had a great lesson with Joseph on the Word of Wisdom.  He had questions about tea and coffee and we told him that it is a commandment from God and how we show God through Faith that we will be blessed by keeping the Word of Wisdom.  He committed to come to church but when we knocked on his door on Sunday, he was not there.  We also had a wonderful lesson with Julie on the Plan of Salvation and how we continue to progress in this life to learn the things that will help us return to live with God.  It was so good as we ended with the Atonement and how Jesus Christ died for all of us because of his Love for all us.  We also had a lesson with a new investigator Dominic on the Book of Mormon.  It was a bit frustrating because he had questions about the Trinity and we would answer his questions through the Book of Mormon and he would always refer to the Bible for the answer when we would ask him what he thought.  Then on Thursday, I was on exchanges with Elder Wardle in my area so for 2 days I was not with Elder Cook.  I had a great exchange with him mostly visiting members and investigators and street contacting people.  A great experience after visiting a member and setting up an appointment with them we saw a neighbor next door that was moving out so we offered to help.  The husband accepted us to help and when we went into the house we saw the wife that looked stress and she said you guys are God sent to help us.  We helped them move some of the big furnitures onto the trailer and they appreciated our help.  We got their number and will stop by again before they move by the end of the month.  On Friday, we had our Trainer/Trainee Followup Meeting which was great to discuss how we can help other companionships with their struggle in the 12 week training program.  Then in the afternoon, I had my last District Meeting teaching my district about how we can help our investigators come to church and partake of the Sacrament.  It was perfect because our district has been struggling getting investigators to come to church, so we discussed some great ideas that will help.  Then in the evening, we had a lesson with Lea on the Restoration watching the video with her.  On Saturday, we woke up early to go to the Mesa Temple to do a 6:30 am Endownment Session which was spiritually wonderful to feel the spirit and remembering the covenants that I have made because that last time I did a session was in December of last year at our Christmas Conference.  The new temple video was amazing with the new scenery and acting.  A great young family - The Warrens took us and they are planning to move in November which we were sad to hear because they were one of our favorite families to visit especially after 8 pm - which is tough to see people because many people are getting ready for bed especially families with kids.  Then for lunch Elder Bartleson was on exchanges with Elder Hernandez and picked us up and we went to "L and L" to get a plate lunch which me and Elder Bartleson went to with the Goodwin Family over a year ago when we were companions.  It was a great time to talk about our mission and all the great experiences we had.  The food was very ONO, I got the Lau Lau and Kalua Pork plate.  Sunday was a great Sabbath Day with some great speakers on Faith and Enduring to the End.  I also went to our Monthly Stake Coordination Meeting with the Stake Presidency discussing the missionary work in the Deer Valley Stake and how we can help the members and investigators that we are helping to come closer to Christ.  That was my wonderful week here in the mission field.  I cannot believe in a week I will be done with my mission and heading home from "THE BEST TWO YEARS OF MY LIFE".  I am so grateful for this time that I have to Serve the Lord and helping others feel the Happiness and Joy that the Restored Gospel can bring to their lives.  I have learned and grown so much from losing myself in the work and doing all that I can to help others feel our Heavenly Father's love for them.  This has been the greatest work and calling to be a Representative of Jesus Christ and be an instrument to do his Marvelous Work.  My mission has truly been the Foundation for the rest of my life.  I am so grateful for the experiences that I have had to help others feel the Spirit and help strengthen their Faith in Christ.  I have seen so many Miracles in my life and in others as I trust in God and Keep his Commandments.  I am so grateful for the Blessing that I had to see many of the people I had to help them come unto Christ through Baptism and Receiving the Holy Ghost to help them in their lives.  I got a Facebook message from Destiny and Jason Davis in Buckeye on Thursday and they told me that in September they spoke in Sacrament, they got a calling to teach the 8 & 9 year old, and are preparing to go to the Temple next March to be sealed in the Temple.  That brought me great joy to hear that they are active and preparing to make additional covenants in the Temples.  That is what this Gospel is all about Sealing Families for time and all Eternity in God's Kingdom.  I testify that through our Heavenly Father's Plan we can have Eternal Joy in Eternal Life with him and our Families Forever.  I know that our Heavenly Father lives and loves us all.  Jesus Christ is our brother that fulfilled the Atonement to pay for our sins so we can be worthy for Exaltation as we live his Gospel.  I know that the Gospel has been restored through Joseph Smith and we continue to have the Priesthood Key's through our prophet, Thomas S. Monson.  I am so honored to have the Priesthood to perform Ordinances for others that brings them closer to God.  Going on my mission is the best decision in my life because I have learned so much about the Gospel and it has strengthen my Testimony in our Savior.  I will truly miss being a full-time missionary but hope to take all that I have learned and continue to Share this Gospel as a member missionary.  I loved feeling the Spirit so abundantly in my life to guide me in blessing the lives of our Heavenly Father's children.  I love you all and thank you very much for all your support of encouragement on my mission.  I have felt your prayers and loved the letters and emails that kept me strong in doing the Lord's work.  Take care and hope to see many of you next week.  Thank you for reading my journey of my mission in the ARIZONA PHOENIX MISSION (APM) the #1 Mission in the World.  I am so grateful for President Taylor and Sister Taylor for all they did for me.  Grateful for ALL my Companions that has helped me grow and strengthen me through the hardships.  Thankful for the assignments I had to be a Senior Companion, Trainer 3 times, and District Leader that have helped me bless the lives of other Missionaries.  I am so grateful for all the Areas and Members that I had to get to know and Love through out my mission.  I am very grateful for my Family and Friends that helped me as I was serving my mission.  I am very grateful to my Heavenly Father who loves me and blessed me throughout my mission and Jesus Christ for atoning Sacrifice so we can have immortality and eternal life in God's Kingdom to have the Fullness of the Gospel.  See you all soon.  I testify this Gospel is True and this is the True Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints!

Love Always,

*ALOHA CATHY - GOOD LUCK IN PHOENIX, MAY WE (FULL-TIME MISSIONARIES) PLANT THE SEED OF THE GOSPEL TO EVERYONE IN ANTHEM*

Dear Family and Friends,

I had a great week in Anthem - Sharing the Gospel and helping others Come unto Christ.  The weather is still really nice and warm during the day.  We had a great week teaching our investigators about the Gospel.  We had a great lesson with a new investigator Julie and her daughter Lexie on "How to Begin Teaching and Teaching them about How the Gospel can bring them Closer as a Family and to our Heavenly Father".  They seem interested and met with the missionaries before when Julie's sister was taking the lessons.  We also had a great lesson with Joseph on the Gospel of Jesus Christ and teaching him how he can be Forgiven of his Sins as he strengthens his Faith in Jesus Christ, Repent, be Baptized, and Receive the Holy Ghost.  He was worried that if he gets Baptized and makes mistakes that he cannot be forgiven.  We assured him that our life on earth is all about progression and becoming like God.  As long, he is sincerely living the Gospel by Enduring to the End and repenting he can be forgiven.  That is a wonderful gift of the Atonement that it is always there for us as we continuely improve and do better.  We also had some great spiritual lessons with Cathy this week regarding Heavenly Father's plan and how Heavenly Father wants us to have Eternal Joy.  She told us that she was moving to Phoenix and we were so bummed.  We helped her move out on Friday and a member helped her drive the Uhaul down to her new home and 6 elders in her new area helped her move in so everything went smoothly and the missionaries will continue to teach her.  We invited her to be Baptized.  She said she was thinking about it when she understands more and is able to commit in keeping the commandments.  She was sad that she cannot meet with us but we told her to continue to meet with the missionaries and they will help her prepare for Baptism and receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost that she felt in our lessons in testifying to her that the Gospel is true.  I knew that the Lord was preparing her to receive the Gospel everytime we would see her on the front porch we would stop by to talk to her about the Gospel and give her pamphlets to read.  It was a great opportunity to plant the Seed of the Gospel with her and see the spirit work with her.  I had a great exchange this week with Elder Gapinski in my area.  We mostly visited with members and investigators throughout the day but in the evening we had a great lesson with Cathy.  On Saturday, we helped a non-member family move into our Ward and they enjoyed our service and they were happy to meet with us when they settled into their apartment.  I had a great District Meeting this week on the Book of Mormon and how it is so important in everyones conversion to know that the Gospel has been restored through the prophet - Joseph Smith and we continue to have a prophet that leads the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  We had a great Sabbath Day with wonderful talks in sacrament.  Elder Cook is doing a great job learning everything that will help him take over the area in a few weeks and possibly train if called upon.  I am doing great in being diligent in the Lord's work for the remainder of the time that I have to serve our Heavenly Father's children here in Arizona.  Almost everytime we visit members they always ask me how much time I got left and when can we come over for dinner or for a lesson they ask that question before I leave.  I am a bit anxious about finishing my mission in a few weeks; but I know that my mission has prepared me for the rest of my life.  I testify that our Heavenly Father loves us and wants us to return to live with him and our Families Forever.  Jesus is the Christ that atoned for our sins as we live his gospel.  The Book of Mormon is the Word of God and it can bring people to the truth of the restored Gospel.  Missionary work is the greatest work that we can do to help our brothers and sisters come unto our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.  I love and miss you all.  I know that Heavely Father is always there for us as we trust in him and seek his guidance through prayer.  Take care and until my last letter next week.  Have a wonderful week!

Love for Eternity,
Elder Lance Kuhi Cabral

*IT IS STAKE CONFERENCE TIME IN ANTHEM & THANK YOU PRESIDENT & SISTER TAYLOR FOR YOUR WORDS OF WISDOM*

Dear Family and Friends,

I had a great week doing the Lord's work of Sharing his wonderful Gospel with all those that I meet.  The weather is really nice mostly in the 80's during the day and the nights are getting cold.  We had some great lessons this week.  We had a lesson with a new investigator that has been a potential investigator since I first got to Anthem.  We stopped by earlier this week to see if she has read the pamphlets we left with her and she had lots of questions so we scheduled a time to come back and teach her.  I was on exchanges but Elder Cook taught her about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and again on exchanges with Elder Farnsworth we taught her about the Plan of Salvation.  The spirit was so strong as we taught her about how we go through trials to make us stronger and how Jesus Christ fullfilled the Atonement for all of our sins.  It was so great when we helped her to recognize what she was feeling is the Holy Ghost testifying to her the truthfulness of the Gospel.  We also had 2 great lessons with Joseph on the Restoration of the Gospel and how he can know it is true by reading the Book of Mormon and Praying about it.  We gave him a church tour and immediately when he entered the Chapel he said he felt calm.  We taught him about the Sacrament and how he can remember Jesus Christ by worshiping him on Sundays by coming to church.  I had 2 great exchanges this week.  On Wednesday, I was on exchanges with Elder Burgoyne in his area and we mostly did member visits having prayers and setting up lessons.  On Saturday, I was on exchanges with Elder Farnsworth in my area.  We had some powerful lessons with Ian reading the Book of Mormon and helping him to understand how he can receive revelation by diligently reading it daily.  We also had a wonderful lesson with Cathy and got to attend the adult session of the Stake Conference because the focus was on missionary work and missionaries were invited to attend.  There were some great talks from recent converts & returning active on how the Gospel blessed their lives.  President & Sister Taylor also gave great talks on members working with the missionaries and how in this digital age we can share the Gospel online.  President Taylor said that by February our mission will be 1 of 50 missions to be fully equipped with Ipads and Iphones for all missionary companionships.  On Sunday, we had Stake Conference that was transmitted over the internet to the Anthem Building.  It was working that well, it would play for 10 minutes then would have to buffer again to start playing.  Then an hour into the conference it stopped and the Presiding High Councilman told everyone if they wanted to watch the rest they would have to go to the Stake Center to listen to Elder Lesure an Area Seventy who would be the concluding speaker.  I am so happy that my sister - Nikki entered the Temple to receive her own endownments. I am so proud of her for making additional covenants with God that will help her in her life and into Eternity.  I hope it was a spiritual experience for her and all those who supported her.  That was my great week in the mission field Sharing the Gospel.  I cannot believe that I got a few weeks left to be a servent of Jesus Christ.  It is so great to see how this Gospel can truly bless peoples lives.  That was my great week.  Take care and have a great week.  I love and miss you all.  You are in my prayers Always.

Love,
Elder Lance Kuhi Cabral

*WATCHING THE 183rd SEMIANNUAL GENERAL CONFERENCE FROM ANTHEM, ARIZONA & CONGRATS AGAIN LEA*

Dear Family and Friends,

How are you all doing?  I am doing great here in Anthem doing the Lord's work and helping others Come unto Christ.  The weather has been pretty nice this week during the day and even the nights are nice and chilly.  This week was a great week with Leadership meeting, Zone meeting and our Awesome General Conference.  On Tuesday, I had a Leadership meeting that I got some great learnings that will help me as a District Leader.  A big focus was on helping our missionaries deal with the Stress of Missionary work and how to help them cope with it.  We got a new booklet that all missionaries will get at Zone interviews this month on adjusting to the missionary life.  It is a great booklet that focuses on new missionaries but also helps all missionaries that go through physical, emotional, spiritual, and social challenges through their missions.  We also learned about being focused on the work and thinking outside the box and thinking of creative ways to find people to teach without doing things that are not part of our purpose.  Zone meeting was also great with teachings on helping our new members by continuely teaching them for 3 months after their baptism to help with retain and spiritually progress towards their next covenants in the temple thru activities in the church.  We got spiritually nourished this weekend with the wonderful talks from General Conference.  Many uplifting talks from the prophets, apostles and all those who spoke on messages that will help us in our journey back to our Heavenly Father.  I enjoyed many of the talks, especially President Ucthdorf's talk on Helping our Heavenly Children come back to the Fold and President Monson's talk on Enduring through Trials.  We were at the Stake Center all day on Saturday watching all 3 sessions and on Sunday watching the last 2 sessions.  Our week was a bit slow we had 1 lesson with Leslie on Prophets and talked to her and Beau about the great talks from General Conference.  We are really focusing on finding new investigators by talking with everyone and asking for referrals because our teaching pool is low, many of our investigators are not progressing.  That was my great week here in the mission field Sharing this wonderful Gospel with all those that I meet.  I love and miss you all.  Take care and have a great week.

*CONGRATULATIONS "LEA" FOR BEING BAPTIZED, WELCOME ELDERS SILCOCK & ELDER GAPINSKI & THANKS FOR THE SPECIAL YOUTH FIRESIDE*

Aloha Family and Friends,

How are you doing?  I had a great week here in Anthem - doing the Lord's work.  The weather is really nice during the day, but getting chilly during the nights which I am starting to wear sweaters. Lea got baptized on Saturday which was so wonderful because the spirit was so strong as she made her covenants with God.  She was so happy when she came up out of the water as spiritually reborn.  Then on Sunday the congregation saw her for the first time as she came into the chapel to be confirmed a member of the church and receive the Holy Ghost.  She was filled with joy when they sustained her as the newest member of the church.  It was such an honor to see her change since the first time I met her to now as she strengthened her Faith in Jesus Christ through her trials and see her realize the blessings that come from living his Gospel.  It is so wonderful to see how the Lord prepared her as the members showed their love for her by serving her and she knew that they were placed in her life for a reason.  We had some wonderful lessons with her this week teaching her the commandments.  We also had a great lesson with Ali this week on how the Gospel can bless his family and bring them closer.  Some exciting news from transfers this week is they split an area in our District so there are 2 more Elders in our district.  Anthem and Parkside Wards now have their own set of Elders.  Elder Burton and Farnsworth cover only Anthem Ward now and they are living with us in our apartment.  It is fun having another set of Elders in our place because we get to talk about our day and eat meals together.  The new Elders - Elder Silcock from Idaho and Elder Gapinski from Utah live in the Espios home in Parkside Ward.  Since their are 8 Elders in my district, I have to go on exchanges 7 times this transfer once with the zone leaders and once with each Elder in my district.  So some weeks I will be on exchanges twice, which is fun to get to know my District members and see how they work and teach.  The work is a bit slow now since Lea got baptized, we have an investigator Joseph with a baptism date for October 19 but he is living with his girlfriend and son so we have to try to get them married and we have not been able to meet with him this week.  We are doing alot of finding through members and checking up on past investigators to see if they would want to learn about the Gospel again.  I hope I can find some great new investigators soon and help them Come unto Christ.  I had a great District Meeting on Friday, teaching about the importance of commitments and helping our investigators keep commitments by following up, great having more Elders to contribute different insights.  I had a great sabbath day as we heard some wonderful testimonies.  There was a Special Youth Fireside in the evening on "Having an Eternal Perspective through Trials".  Great talks by members and some non-members that talk about a young women Katie Wagner that recently passed away from cancer.  She was pretty big here in Anthem community because of her love to help others even though she was fighting cancer for the past 3 years.  It was a spiritual fireside to hear how as we Trust in God and have Faith in Jesus Christ that we can get through our trials and grow stronger.  We are here on earth to be tested and prove to our Heavenly Father that we want to live with him.  I testify that Jesus Christ is our Savior and he can give us strength through hard times.  I am so grateful to know the Plan of Salvation and know that we can have Eternal Life as we have a strong foundation built on Christ and continue to live the Gospel through our lives.  I know as a servent of Jesus Christ that our Heavenly Father loves us and wants us to have Eternal Joy.  I love and miss you all.  Take care and have a great week. your all in my prayers.

*ANTHEM IS THE PLACE TO BE IN HELPING HEAVENLY FATHER'S CHILDREN STREGTHEN THEIR FAITH IN CHRIST & RECEIVE THE RESTORED GOSPEL*

Aloha Ohana and Friends,

It was a great week here in Anthem - doing the Lord's work and helping our Heavenly Father's children return to live with him.  The weather is starting to get nice, it was in the 90s most of the week.  I am starting to get a bit cold in the morning with nights being so chilly.  Well it is official Anthem is going to be my last area.  We got transfer news this morning and no one in our district is getting transferred which is what was expected because we are all training for the next 6 weeks.  I am glad to be ending in an area that I have been for a while because I know the area, converts, investigators, and members that I have grown to love.  This week was a great week teaching the Gospel.  I had a great exchange with the zone leaders on Tuesday.  I was with Elder Weiler in their area in Deer Valley.  We went to another district in our Zone District Meeting and it was great to see different perspective of teaching that I could use in my District Meeting.  We had a great lesson with a returning, active member Clyde teaching him the Gospel of Jesus Christ and it was so wonderful to hear how God answers his prayers by sending a friend to help him come back to church.  We also had a great lesson with Kayla on the Plan of Salvation and how she can live with God in the Celestrial Kingdom as she lives the gospel.  She was not understanding Enduring to the End, so I thought of a great analogy comparing Baptism to the Entrance Gate at disney land and how to make it to space mountain which symolizes the celestrial kingdom she has to continuely do her part in living the commandments without getting distracted by the food vendors of the adversary.  It worked like a charm and it just clicked when she understood.  We had 2 great lessons this week with Lea teaching her the commandments and preparing her for her Baptism this Saturday, September 28.  She prayed about the Law of Tithing and received an answer that she will be blessed by living it.  She had her baptism interview and passed with flying colors.  She was so excited that she is ready to make her covenants with God.  We finally found a new investigator Joseph this week after weeks of no new investigators which we have been struggling to find.  We had a great lesson with him on the Restoration of the Gospel and teaching him how the Gospel can help him through his trials and strengthen his family.  A member family the Florez - son Jack who just turned 8 this month got baptized and confirmed last Saturday and they invited us to his Baptism which was wonderful.  The spirit was so strong and it was so great to be a part of his confirmation to receive the Holy Ghost.  I also had another great exchange with Elder Burgoyne in my area.  We had a great Distrcit meeting that I taught about how to begin teaching and how important the 1st lesson is in gaining trust with our investigators and how we can utilize it throughout our other lessons.  Then we had a great lesson with Emma and it was great to hear how when her parents were taking the lessons she felt the spirit and wanted to follow Jesus Christ's teaching.  We also met with Ian this week and watched "Finding Faith in Christ" with him and he enjoyed it because he is a visual learner and understands things better when he sees it.  We invited him to church and we got a member from the YSA Ward to pick him up and take him to church.  We had a great Sabbath Day with our primary presentation which there was a strong spirit hearing the cute talks from the Primary kids and hearing them sing.  Lea came to church and loved the primary program.  She also went to Gospel Principles and Relief Society which she enjoyed.  A cool experience this week was a member - Brother Palmer agreed to feed us for dinner but he was not there when we showed up.  So we knocked on the door and his inactive nephews (Eric and Kevin) opened up and let us in.  They told us that they had pizza in the oven so they fed us.  10 minutes there, I knew that Brother Palmer planned this on purpose that he would not be there so we could have an opportunity to teach his nephews who has been working with for a while to get back to church.  Then Brother Palmer called during dinner to make sure that they cooked us dinner and told us to teach them.  We had a great discussion with them and asked them if we could come back to teach them more about the Gospel.  So yesterday, we went back and taught them the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  The spirit was so strong as we taught them how they can strengthen their Faith in Jesus Christ and he will help them overcome trials and how we can be forgiven of our sins through Repentence.  We gave them a Book of Mormon and committed them to start small by praying, read the scriptures, and come to Church.  It is so great to help those who have lost the Gospel to return to the fold of God.  That was my great week here in the mission field.  I cannot believe how fast time is flying as I serve our Heavenly Father's children and help them receive the Restored Gospel.  I am on my last transfer and I have to do my best with the knowledge and experience that I have gained through my mission to invite and help our Heavenly Father's children strengthen their Faith in Christ and receive the Restored Gospel.  I love and miss you all.  Take care and have a great week.

*MAY THE SPIRIT TESTIFY TO LEA & IAN THAT THE GOSPEL IS TRUE IN ANTHEM, ARIZONA*

Dear Family and Friends,

How are you all doing?  I am doing great here in Anthem - doing the Lord's work.  This week was a great week even though we did not have too much lessons.  We had a great lesson this week with Lea preparing her for her Baptism - we are reviewing the commandments with her.  We taught her about the Law of Tithing and she did not commit to living it so we told her to pray about it, so that something we have been pondering on how to help her gain a testimony about tithing.  She came to church this Sunday and loved it.  She has been going through some trials and felt the talks were geared just for her and gave her strength to get through them.  We also gave her a blessing to help her.  We used a hearing aid headset from the Library and she could hear the speakers perfectly.  We had a great Sacrament meeting with a Farewell talk by Elder Huband who is going on his mission to Guatamala.  We also had a High Councilman that gave a wonderful talk on the Atonement and How Jesus Christ paid for our sins and he can help us through our trials.  A cool story that happened last Saturday while we were walking around the apartment complex a less active guy named Ian came up to us that just got out of jail a few months ago and told us he wants to get his life straightened up and wants to go back to church.  So we met with him this week and taught him about the Restoration of the Gospel and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  It was so spiritual as we taught him about the Doctrine of Christ and how he can be forgiven of his sins and if he repents and lives the Gospel.  He is 27 so we brought a member in our ward that goes to the Single Wards and invited him to attend their meeting because he wants to get involved in activities and he will enjoy the YSA (Young Single Adult) more.  A big focus that we have been working on is finding new investigators through working with the members and talking to everyone and asking them for refferals.  A few of our investigators have not been progressing because they have been so busy.  I had a great District Meeting this week on How important it is to rely on the Spirit to guide us in everything we do and How important it is to listen to our investigators and discern What they need to be taught according to their needs.  Online prosyleting has been going great in contacting investigators, checking up on their commitments, sharing messages, and having discussions with them.  That was my great week here in the mission field Sharing our Heavenly Father's Gospel with his children.  I know that this Gospel is true and through our Heavenly Father's plan we can return to live with him and our families forever.  The Gospel has been Restored through Joseph Smith and we can continue to have the fullness of the Gospel through a living prophet, Thomas S. Monson.  I testify that our Heavenly Father lives and loves us all.  Jesus Christ is our Savior that fulfilled the Atonement so we can be cleanse of our sins as we live his Gospel and follow his Example.  I am so grateful to be a Representative of Jesus Christ and Preach his Gospel to all those who are searching for the Truth.  I love and miss you all.  Take care and have a fantastic week.

Love Always,

*ONLINE PROSYLETING THROUGH FACEBOOK CAN REALLY REACH EVERYONE IN THE WORLD ESPECIALLY IN THE USA*

Dear Family and Friends,

How are you guys doing?  I am doing great here in Anthem - Sharing our Heavenly Father's Gospel with everyone that I meet and inviting them to Come unto Christ.  The weather has been pretty hot most of the week, but yesterday and today it has been raining all day so it has been cool.  I had a great week with some great spiritual lessons, exchanges, leadership meeting, and zone meeting.  We had 2 great lessons with Lea this week and Bishop came to a lesson and really helped her through some things she is going through.  She came to church on Sunday and loved it.  She was in the Bishop's office during Sacrament and we had a lesson with her on the Word of Wisdom during Sunday School.  We are trying to work on getting a better speaker system in the Bishop's office so she can hear the talks better.  After Relief Society started and the halls were not as noisy she went to Relief Society for the 3rd hour.  She has such a desire to follow Christ and is excited for her Baptism on September 28.  I had a great exchange this week with Elder Farnsworth in his area.  We had 2 great lessons with new investigators on the Restoration.  The spirit was so strong as we taught them especially as we testified about the Gospel being Restored through Joseph Smith and how God and Jesus Christ appeared to him in the Sacred Grove.  On Wednesday, I had a great leadership meeting down in my old zone at the Goodyear Stake Center.  Great learnings/teachings on how us as leaders have to help the missionaries that we have stewardship over be the best missionaries they can and we have to convey the learnings in behalf of President Taylor.  I also learned about making District Meeting more effective and making exchanges a learning experience.  On Friday, we had a great zone meeting on our tightening up 2.0 online prosyleting, and becoming a master teacher that I learned about last June but we have to review with all the new missionaries.  Online Prosyleting is great, I got my facebook cleared so I was mostly adding investigators and members to my Facebook.  It is a great way to keep in contact with investigators throughout the week with those that have Facebook.  Some investigators that are busy with work and school its great to check up on there commitments and even teach them a short online lesson.  I usually send some messages to investigators and members which takes a little bit of my online time so I usually have time to find and teach people so if anyone has Family and Friends that are interested in learning about the Gospel and more comfortable in an online discussion let me know on Facebook because you can message me if it is missionary related.  I have not really had online lessons yet because most of our investigators do not have Facebook or are not on when we go, but it is a great tool to Share the Gospel around the World.  I heard of some missionaries in our mission teaching people all over the USA, Spain, Africa, and family & friends back home.  Well that was my great week here in the mission field.  I love and miss you all.  I cannot believe how fast time is going by in Serving our Heavenly Father's children and helping them receive this wonderful Gospel.  I testify that the Gospel has been restored to this earth by the Priesthood Authority so they can do the Saving Ordinances of Salvation.  We can be blessed for living the Gospel and helping others Come unto Christ.  I pray for you all and hope you have a great week and look for opportunities to Share the Gospel with those you meet.

Love Always,
Elder Lance Kuhi Cabral

*ZONE CONFERENCES HELPS US TO TEACH INVESTIGATORS TO COME UNTO CHRIST IN APM*

Dear Family and Friends,

How are you guys doing?  How is everyone's Labor Day weekend going?  I had a great week here in Anthem - sharing the Gospel and helping others Come unto Christ.  The weather has been still hot in the 100's but on Friday it was pouring rain while we were out luckily we stopped by a potential investigator Cathy and talked to her for awhile.  We had a great lesson with her on her front porch on the Restoration. We had 2 great lessons with Lea on the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Sabbath day.  On Saturday, we gave her a church tour and she loved it and felt the Spirit in the chapel, the member fellowship Sister Timmerman even took her to the Phoenix Temple site and to the Stake Center to see the Baptism font so she was spiritually fed in one day.  She is doing really great and we are just working with the Ward Council to help her to come to Church and partake of the sacrament.  The Bishop brought up an idea to have her in the Bishops office and hook up speakers so she could hear the talks because of her sensitivity to noise in the chapel would be to noisy.  So hopefully we can help her to come to church this Sunday.  We had a great zone conference on Tuesday with great teachings by increasing our Faith, understanding Principles instead of having rules, being Positive and get rid of negative thoughts, and always inviting everyone to Come unto Christ through ordinances.  The excitement of learning that we got trained on was online Proselyting.  We are now authorized to be on the internet to help others Come unto Christ.  Our main social media that we are using is Facebook.  Before we can use Facebook for proselyting we have to clean it up and make it missionary appropriate, which I have been doing this past week and just got cleared to use it to proselyte.  It is a great tool to find, teach, contact our investigators, members and anyone interested in learning about the Restored Gospel.  I had a great exchange with Elder Searle in his area which was nice to be in a truck and seeing the Dessert of Phoenix.  I had a great District Meeting on checking our progress in the 12 week training and how we can improve in the things we need improvement.  I also had my 3rd baptism interview with Mary, a nice older lady that is really excited to be baptized. That is one of the most spiritual moments of being a District Leader is interviewing investigators and hearing why they want to be baptized and the spirit confirming that they are ready to make their covenants with God.  We had a great Sabbath day with wonderful testimonies and great teaching lessons in Sunday School and Priesthood.  No one came to church but hopefully we can get some next week and we are focusing on finding new investigators because that is where missionary work all starts is first finding those that are prepared to hear the restored Gospel.  I love and miss you guys.

Love,

*ONLINE PROSELYTING IN ARIZONA PHOENIX MISSION HERE WE COME TO "HASTEN THE WORK"*

Aloha Ohana and Friends,

How are you guys doing?  I am doing great here in Arizona - doing the Lord's work.  It has been pretty hot most of this week, but the weekend was cloudy so it was a bit cooler.  This week was a bit slow teaching our investigators but we did have a great lesson with Lea.  We taught Lea about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and invited her to be baptized on September 28 and she excitingly said YES.  The spirit was so strong as we taught her about baptism and receiving the great gift of the Holy Ghost.  She was like "Can I really be baptized that soon" and we told her as she continues to meet with us and keep the commitments we give her that she will be ready to make her covenants with God.  We are going to plan to do a church tour with her and see how she does with the sensitivity to noise and sound because of her health condition that she is recovering from.  Besides that great lesson we mostly visited members and shared messages with them to see who they know that can benefit from the Gospel.  I had a great exchange with one of the new missionaries in my District Elder Burton in my area.  I had a great District meeting this week on the role of the Holy Ghost in someones conversion.  We had some great learnings on how the Spirit is so important to testify as the 3rd member of the Godhead that our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ lives.  We have to help our investigators recognize when they feel the spirit and how God will answer their prayers through the Holy Ghost.   We had a great Sabbath Day with 3 investigators coming to church.  A part member family that we have been working with for a while came to church for the 2nd time since I have been in Anthem.  Also Jackie and her 2 kids - Jenna and Joey came to church as well and enjoyed it.  Well that was my great week here in the mission field sharing the wonderful Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Our zone finally has Zone Conference tomorrow, which we have been looking forward to all month to be able to do ONLINE PROSELYTING.  It will be a great tool that will help us in our missionary work to Share the Gospel using Technology to "Hasten the Work".  I love and miss you guys all.  I Testify that this Gospel is true and it can bless our lives as we strenghten our Faith in Jesus Christ.  Take care and have a great week.

Love,

*TOFA TAGATA'MATUA VAOGA & WELCOME ELDER COOK TO ANTHEM*

Dear Family and Friends,

How are you guys all doing?  I am doing great here in Anthem doing the Lord's work.  The weather has been pretty hot this week with a few days getting up to 110 degrees.  This week was an exciting week starting off with transfers.  My new companion is Elder Cook from Mcraft Alberta Canada.  He is a great Elder that is happy and excited to be on his mission.  Every time we visit members and investigators he always tells them how excited he is to be on his mission; which is great because he is positive and willing to do anything the Lord ask of him.  On transfer day it is great to see all the new assignments and changes in our mission.  We had 25 new missionaries join our mission and 10 great missionaries went home so now we are up to 223 missionaries in our mission.  It was so great to see my former companion Elder Vaoga at transfer before he goes home to Samoa which was a few hours after transfers.  President Taylor invited him to bear his testimony and it was so great to hear a powerful departing testimony at transfers because usually all the departing missionaries leave on Tuesday.  He was so sad to be leaving and it brought realization that I have to give it all I got before my time as a missionary ends.  We had a great youth activity for the young men and young women on Wednesday which we helped out on.  We had Ali, Ema, and another non-member friend that came and they had a great time.  We were trying to help the youth do some spiritual games such as putting the Articles of Faith in order and name that the hymn so they could win talents instead of playing the worldly games such as basketball or mini golf which they just receive treats.  Afterwards they were divided into 3 different kingdoms of glories based on how much talents they had.  We also had some great lessons with our investigators this week.  We met with Lea - 3 times this week and taught her about the Plan of Salvation.  She understood it really well and is so grateful to know God's plan for us.  She is prepared to receive the Gospel but has some health issues that would make it hard for her to come to church because she is still recovering from her car accident and she is very sensitive to noise and light.  We are going to talk to President Taylor and see what we can do to help her progress in the Gospel and Come unto Christ.  We also had a great lesson with Joni this week on the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  She is doing great but she also has some difficulties coming to church but she could make it with some assistance from ward members; so we will discuss it in ward council meeting and some members are going to help out.  We had a short lesson with a part member family Beau the husband has been less active and Leslie wants to come to church.  They committed to come to church this week so hopefully they come.  We finally got a great older couple the Seagettis to make calls and set up dinners for us, which has been going really well ever since Elder Cooks been here we had a dinner everyday.  It is great to eat with members and help strengthen their Faith to do missionary work plus we eat delicious food.  We had a great Sabbath Day by hearing a talk from a return missionary that served his misson in Georgia - Spanish speaking.  My district just got even younger with 3 new missionaries With Elder Cook, Burton, and Searle who just started their missions.  I had a great District Meeting teaching about how to begin teaching investigators for the first time by getting to know their religious background and establishing expectations to teach to their needs.  That was my great week here in the APM doing the Lord's work.  I testify this Gospel is true and by living the Gospel we can return to live with our Heavenly Father and families can be together forever.  The Gospel has been restored through Joseph Smith and continually guided by President Thomas S. Monson who is God's servant today.  I love and miss you guys.  Take care and have a great week.

Love Always,
Elder Lance Kuhi Cabral

*FAREWELL ELDER BECK & WELCOME TO ANTHEM NEW MISSIONARIES*

Dear Family and Friends,

How are you guys all doing?  I am doing great here in Anthem doing the Lord's work.  The weather has still been hot but below 110 so it is not so bad just another month or so then it will start cooling down below 100.  This week was a good week teaching.  We finally met with Micah after a long time because he has been so busy during the summer.  We just talked to him about his thoughts on Baptism and he feels he is does not want to do it and does not fully understand why he needs to be Baptized.  Hopefully we can start meeting with him regularly and help him gain a testimony about the restored Gospel and how he can be blessed by living it.  We had a spiritually, wonderfull lesson with Joni this week on the Book of Mormon and we read 3 Nephi 11 with her.  It was so great reading the powerful - visit of Jesus Christ to the People in America and how he established his Church.  She knows that the gospel is true and the spirit was so strong as she said the closing prayer and thanked God for all her blessing that she receives through her trials.  We also met with Lea this week and had a great lesson with her on how the Book of Mormon came about and what the Book of Mormon talks about.  Pictures and analogies works really well with her to understand the Principles of the Gospel.  This week we did alot of finding through members and keep checking on their missionary work and help them to Share the Gospel.  I had a great exchange with Elder Farnsworth in my area, nothing much went on besides visits which lots of people were not at home.  I had a great District Meeting on teaching people, not lessons by Following the Teaching in PREACH MY GOSPEL in Chapter 10 on Asking inspired questions and checking for understanding to teach to their needs.  On Saturday, I got a call from President Taylor to TRAIN A NEW MISSIONARY for the 3rd time.  The Lord is definitely keeping me working hard until the end of my mission by giving me the most important assignment you can give on a mission to be a trainer.  So Elder Beck is getting transfered along with Elder Ure and Okelberry in my District.  Elder Farnsworth, Elder Burgoyne, and myself are all training a new missionary so we will be getting 3 new missionaries to our District tomorrow at transfers.  So that means I will probably be ending my mission here in Anthem and my new companion will be my last companion on my mission.  I am so grateful for the Trust in the Lord and Mission President to be ending the last few months of my mission by training new missionaries and helping them Learn the things that will make them successful missionaries in inviting others to Come unto Christ.  I went to the Trainer Meeting for the 3rd time and President Taylor always talks about the importance of a missionaries 1st companion in setting the foundation for the missionaries success and setting an example in Obedience to the mission rules.  I hope I get a companion that is excited to do the Lords work and keep me going with his fresh energy to share the gospel with our Heavenly Father's children.  Well that was my great week here in the Arizona Phoenix Mission (APM).  I love and miss you all.  Take care and have a great week.

Love,
Elder Lance Kuhi Cabral

*ANTHEM MISSION IS LUCKY TO HAVE BEEN CHOSEN TO START ONLINE PROSELYTING THROUGH FACEBOOK*

Dear Family and Friends,

How are you guys doing?  How is everyone enjoying the last of their summer?  Well, I am doing Great here in Anthem doing the Lord's work.  The weather has been hot as usual but in the low 100s so it has not been that bad.  We had a pretty good week teaching this week.  We had a spiritually packed lesson with Joni this week on the Restoration using Jenga to explain how Christ established his church, it was lost through the great Apostasy, and restored through Joseph Smith.  We finally helped her to understand the need to be Baptized by the proper Authority.  We invited her to be baptized and she said she would when she can because of her health.  She knows the Gospel is true but we need to help her gain a Testimony of the Book of Mormon.  We also had 2 great lessons with Lea this week.  Our first lesson we taught her about the Christ Earthly Ministry, the Atonement and she was a little bit confused of why Christ had to suffer for us so we tried to explain but then it came to me that we need to teach the Plan of Salvation first then she will understand it better.  The 2nd lesson we had with her we taught her about how Christ established his church then it was lost but restored through Joseph Smith.  We are teaching her very simply and she is really starting to understand each principle.  I had a great exchange with Elder Okelberry in my area.  We mostly visited members and setting up appointments but after lunch we were heading out when we saw a family moving into the apartemnt complex and offered to help so we helped them.  They appreciated our service and hopefully we can go back and teach them the Gospel.  We had a great zone meeting this week with learning and teaching about Faith and helping our investigators to have Faith in Christ.  They also taught about Tightening up on our Obedience that is in the White handbook that our mission has not been doing as well as we could be.  We got some exciting news on Wednesday that our mission has been authorized by the Church Mission Department to be an ONLINE PROSELYTING MISSION so we are ALL excited to be able to use the internet to find, teach, contact, and share the Gospel with others online.  The zone leaders, assistants, and sister training leaders are going to start learning about it and teach the rest of the mission in our zone conferences later this month, so our mission will be all using online proselyting by the end of this month.  Everyone was excited at zone meeting to be able to have this wonderful tool to Proclaim the Gospel to all the world and be involved in the gathering of Israel.  At our training meeting followup on Thursday, President Taylor stressed about the importance of us as trainers to be an example to the new missionaries in Obedience.  Our mission has to tighten up on even the little things so that we can be Obedient when we do online Proselyting of going on Facebook so we can be focused on our work and not distracted with whats going on in the World.  President Taylor has asked that family and friends check out these links to help support us in the work and not distract us.
PLEASE EMAIL THE LINK BELOW TO YOUR PARENTS, FAMILY AND FRIENDS

I am so privilege that I have an opportunity to use these wonderful tools to help Share the Gospel and help others Come unto Christ in these digital age.  We will be able to go on the internet for 1 hour each day and I am excited to see how much more effective it will be then knocking doors.  These are exciting times to be on a mission with everything that has happened in the past year.  The June 23 Broadcast was the beginning of fulfilling prophecies in Matthew 24:14 - Preaching the Gospel to all the World by using the Internet to reach People and Countries where people cannot hear the wonderful Gospel of Jesus Christ.  I know that this Gospel is true and it has been Restored through Joseph Smith.  Our Heavenly Father lives and loves us ALL.  Jesus is the Christ and he atoned for all of us so we can return to live with God.  Take care and have a great week.

Love,
Elder Lance Kuhi Cabral

PS:)  The picture with Me, Sister Murdock who is going home this coming transfer, and Elder Bartleson who were in the Same district In Phoenix north for 3 transfers.  Wonderful spiritual zone meeting with departing Testimonies by our zone leader Elder Kammissoko, Assistant to the President Elder Campbell and Sister Murdock.  Good luck to the 3 of them.

*BAPTISM HELPS US ALL TO ENDURE TO THE END THROUGH OBEDIENCE*

Aloha Family and Friends,

How are you all doing?  I am doing great here in Anthem - Sharing the Gospel and doing the Lord's work.  I had a great week with some great lessons, some new investigators that came to church, and a wonderful zone interviews.  The weather has been pretty hot this week it was a little humid but starting to get back to the dry heat.  To start off this week, I had exchanges with the zone leaders on Tuesday with Elder Wardle in their area of Deer Valley.  It felt weird being back in the Metro City where the streets are setup like a grid/straight roads, compared to Anthem that has more curvy roads and more difficult to navigate.  We mostly did visits, clean a ladies front yard, and had a great lesson with Hector on Enduring to the End and helping him realize the covenant he will make at baptism.  The spirit was so strong as he testified how he knows the Gospel is true and why he wants to be baptized.  Then on Wednesday we stopped by to see if Joni came home from the hospital and shared a short lesson with her on the Holy Ghost.  On Thursday, we had zone interviews which was great learning from Sister Taylor and the zone leaders on the Doctrine of Christ and tightening up on Obedience.  My interview with President Taylor was so spiritual as he gave me counsel and what the spirit has told me that I can do to improve and continue to work hard for the rest of my mission.  On Friday, I had a great District Meeting which we watched some talks from the Work of Salvation Broadcast from July 23 and discussing how we can work with the members to help them do their missionary work and help others Come unto Christ.  Then we had a great lesson with Emma on Education and work from the Strength of Youth pamphlet.  We ended the night by helping a member family who is moving to Utah.  On Saturday, I had a great exchange with Elder Ure in his area.  We helped a non-member family move in and they appreciated our help.  Then we mostly did visits and had a great lesson with Dominick on the Restoration of the Gospel.  The spirit was so strong as we testified to him about how the Gospel was restored through Joseph Smith and why God brought forth another pair of scriptures which is the Book of Mormon so we can know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet called by God.  He had some great questions on Priesthood and we helped him understand the need for the Restoration.  On Sunday, we had an awesome Sabbath Day, we had 5 investigators that came to church.  Allie, Jackie and their 3 kids came to church and had a great time.  On Thursday, Sally called us and asked if we could give her daughter Janelly who is 19 a ride to church.  She also had a great time at church meeting the sisters in Relief Society.  We hope she tells her parents about her experience at church and they start coming.  I had to go to a Stake co-ordination meeting so I only attended sacrament with our investigators but Elder Beck said they all had a great time which was very nice because we have been struggling to get people to church.  Then we ended our week with a great spiritual lesson with Lea.  We taught her 2 principles of the Restoration which we did it very simple and she understood how the Gospel blesses families and how God called Prophets in every dispensation.  Well that was my great week here in the mission field doing the Lord's work.  I know that this Gospel is true and it can bless everyone's lives and that Families can be Together Forever through our Heavenly Father's Plan.  Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer that fulfilled that Atonement so we can return to live in our Heavenly home.  The Book of Mormon is the Word of God that was translated by Joseph Smith so we can continue know God's will for us and keep us holding on to the Iron Rod.  I love and miss you all.  You ALL are always in my prayers.  Till next week take care and have a fantastic week.

*LET US ALL DO OUR PART BY CATCHING THE WAVE*

Dear Family and Friends,

How is everyone’s summer going?  I am doing great here in Anthem - sharing our Heavenly Father’s Gospel with his children.  The weather was hot this week - it was in the 100s but more humid with clouds.  Over the weekend there were some thunderstorms which Saturday night and Sunday it was raining most of the day but we were inside for most of it because of studies, ward council, and church.  This week was a good week in teaching investigators and finding investigators.  We had a great lesson with Isaac, Sally, and their 3 kids on the Restoration, focusing on families and how the gospel can strengthen their families as they live the teaching of Christ.  We gave a church tour to Ali and Jackie showing them their classes and teaching them about the sacrament to help them feel comfortable to come to church.  We are struggling in trying to help our investigators come to Church so we are going to teach them the importance of the Sabbath day.  We had a great lesson with a new investigator Lea that some sisters in our ward have been helping her because she got into an accident last year and is still recovering from it.  We have to teach slow and simple to help her understand the principles.  Strong spirit as we taught her that our Heavenly Father loves her and wants to help and guide her through prayer.  She is Jewish so we have to establish God’s plan and help her understand Jesus Christ and his role in the plan.  I had my first exchange of transfer with Elder Burgoyne in his area.  We mostly visited members and potential investigators to setup appointments because 2 lessons fell through.  I had a great spiritual District Meeting on helping my District make and keep commitments with our investigators by inviting, promise blessings, bear testimony, and always following up on commitments to see if their keeping the commitments to strengthen their Faith in Christ and repenting.  It was good to witness the baptism for Rebecca which Elder Ure and Farnsworth was their investigator in our District.  We were hoping to have Leslie and Beau part member family attend but something came up.  There was a strong spirit there to see her get baptized by her father who is a recent convert.  We had a great Sabbath day with talks by high councilmen and the first high councilmen talked about members – “Catching the Wave” in missionary work.  We also gave a lesson in Elders Quorum on Elder Nelsons talk on “Catching the Wave” and how as members and missionaries work together we can help our Heavenly Father’s children come unto him and enjoy the blessing of the Gospel.  Well, that was my great week here in Arizona doing the Lord’s work.  I hope you all are catching the wave and following the counsel of our prophets and apostles on helping our family, friends, and neighbors to feel the spirit and joy that comes from the Gospel.  I know that this Gospel is true and it was restored through Joseph Smith and we have a living prophet today, Thomas S. Monson that continues to lead us back our Heavenly Father’s presence to have immortality and eternal life.  I testify that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ lives and loves us all.  I love and miss you all.  Take care and have a great week.

*PHOENIX VALLEY VIEW IS SO BEAUTIFUL WAY UP HIGH ESPECIALLY THE TEMPLE*

Dear Family and Friends,

How is every ones summer going?  Well, I am doing great here in Anthem doing the Lord's work.  This week was a bit slow due it being summer but we had some great lessons.  We had a great lesson with Joni on the Gospel of Jesus Christ teaching her about Faith and how we truly repent by not doing the same sins over.  Then we talked to her about Baptism and how we are baptized to receive a remission of our sins so we can return to live with God.  We invited her to be baptized again and she said she has already been baptized.  We had our Relief Society President, Sister Brandon come with us to meet Joni and she taught a bit on the Restoration to help her understand the Priesthood.  It was such a powerfully spiritual lesson, she has great Faith to follow Christ we just need to help her understand it.  Next lesson we are going to expound on the Restoration by using visual and analogies to help her understand how the true church was restored through Joseph Smith.  We stopped by Micah this week and had a great conversation with him about the church and what he learned in Priesthood class.  He talked about his desire to go on a mission next summer with his friend in our ward who is fellow shipping him.  He understands he has to be a member for a year before he can go on his mission so we are going to help him feel ready for Baptism.  He came to sacrament this Sunday which was really nice because he has not come in months since he got a job.  Elder Beck and I both spoke in sacrament this Sunday.  My topic was on service and it was a great privilege to reflect on my mission in serving the Lord and all the people that I have served or share the Gospel with.  It was so great as I shared a few mission experiences on how I served people which I have seen their hearts soften and made them open to hear the Restored Gospel.  I shared on how Jesus Christ was the Perfect Example by always serving others then Sharing the Gospel.  It has been a true blessing on my mission to Represent the Lord and do his work.  The greatest happiness on my mission has been when I lose myself in the work and help the people I have been called to help receive the Gospel.  This week we also had some member lessons teaching them short lessons.  We are starting to see the fruits working with members, a sister in our ward called us and said her neighbor wanting to learn about the Gospel, so this Sunday we going to meet her and teach her the Gospel.  We have been doing alot of member visits because lots of families are on vacation.  On Saturday,  we tracted into this guy that welcomed us in and teach him about the Gospel.  We taught him about the Restoration and answered his questions on misconceptions that he heard from others about our church.  This morning we had a great zone hike up a hill by the Phoenix Temple, when we got to the top it was so wonderful to see the view of the Phoenix Valley.  We had a spiritual testimony.  I had my 2nd baptism interview with a 21 year old Rebecca.  It is so great to go over the baptism interview questions and hear her testimony about her desire to be baptized.  I had a great District Meeting this week on the Doctrine of Christ and helping my district members to always be living our purpose to invite our investigators to Baptisms and helping them to strive to be baptized by setting Baptism dates.  We need to help all those we meet understand the need to be Baptized and receive the Holy Ghost so they can be on the path back to our Heavenly Father in the Celestial kingdom.  As we are bold and loving the Spirit it will testify to them the truthfulness of our message that our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ lives and provides this wonderful plan to return to live with them and our Families Forever.  I know that this Gospel is true and it helps people Come unto Christ.  The Book of Mormon is the Word of God to teach us the things that will help us Hold on to the Iron Rod to Eternal Life.  Jesus Christ did the greatest Act of Service by fulfilling the Atonement so we can be saved from death and sin to be worthy to live in God's Kingdom.  I love and miss you all.   You are always in my prayers.  Take care and have a great week.

*MAY OUR INVESTIGATORS IN ANTHEM FEEL THE SPIRIT FROM OUR HEAVENLY FATHER & WELCOME ELDER BOGUYONE*

Dear Family and Friends,

How are you guys all doing?  Hope everyone is having a great summer.  I am doing great here in Anthem Sharing the Gospel and helping others Come unto Christ.  This week was a great week for teaching and finding new investigators.  The weather has been hot in the 110s but it cooled down a bit from last week.  We had a great lesson with a new investigator Rick on the Restoration of the Gospel and helping him to understand about prayer and how our Heavenly Father wants to help him.  The spirit was so strong as we invited him to be Baptized on August 10, but we probably will have  to refer him off to other missionaries because he lives out of our area.  We also had a great lesson with Joseph getting to know him and teaching him about how he can know that the Book of Mormon is true.  We had a great short lesson with Joni watching the Restoration video with her and helping her to understand how Joseph Smith was called by God to restore his Gospel on this earth again.  We also met with Jackie and had dinner with her at a members home The Stotts.  Our week was great with lessons, then the remainder of the time we were focusing on working with the members and having short lessons with them.  We had a special Fasting yesterday for Missionary work and our Ward Mission Leader committed everyone in our Priesthood Quorum to invite their friends and neighbors over to to have dinner, play games, or something small to build friendship and soften their hearts.  We had an awesome Zone Meeting on the Culture of our Mission to be Obedient, Teach the Doctrine of Christ, happy, and having fun doing the Lord's work.  We also did reemphasize on our prayer approach that was introduced last May because so many of our missionaries are new to our missions.  We have the biggest zone in our mission right now with 29 missionaries.  Over 80% of our missionaries have been out for less than a year and over 60% have been out for 6 months, a big change with the influx in missionaries.  Elder Boguyone has joined our District and he has been out for 5 months so my District is young besides me.  That was my great week in the mission field.  I love and miss you all.  I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ lives and loves us all.  You are all in my prayers.  Take care and have a great week.

*WELCOME ARIZONA TEMPE MISSION, FLAGSTAFF & NEW MISSIONARIES MAY WE CONTINUE TO DO THE LORD'S WORK*

Aloha Family and Friends,

How are you all doing?  Hope everyone is having a fun and safe summer.  I am doing great here in Anthem doing the Lord's work.  It was a pretty hot week here in Arizona with record breaking temperatures.  Some days it got up to 117 here in Anthem which feels like being in an oven.  I make sure to drink lots of water and it is great when members are home they let us in for a little while to cool down.  Our week was a bit slow with lessons but we had 2 spiritually filled lessons.  We had a great lesson with Emma on the Word of Wisdom and choosing good friends that will help her Choose the Right (CTR).  I went on my last exchange for the transfer with Elder Okelberry in his area, which is a car area so it was nice to have air condition for the day.  We had a great day visiting members and potential investigators.  We had a great lesson with an investigator Chris on the Plan of Salvation and invited him to be baptized.  He said he would be baptized when he knows more, so we committed him to pray if he should be baptized.  I had a great District meeting on getting our investigators to church and helping them realize the importance of keeping the Sabbath Day holy by coming to church.  We also listened to a talk on the Restoration of the Gospel and how Joseph and Hyrum Smith were killed and how through their courage & acts we have the fullness of the Gospel today.  We have been working a lot with the members teaching them lessons and seeking referrals but not much yet.  We hope the broadcast helped them to do missionary work and we can continue encouraging them to Share the Gospel so we can teach those that the Lord is preparing.  On Saturday, we helped Rome move into his new home in the Daisy Mountain Ward which is in my District.  Then we helped a new family move into their new home.  We had a great Sabbath Day with great talks by a new family in our ward and in the combined 3rd hour our Bishop talked about the Broadcast and committed the members to invite their neighbors, family, and friends into their home for the next 2 months.  It is an exciting and but sad week with the 58 new missions starting yesterday.  We lost 35 missionaries in the Phoenix Stake that got transferred to the Arizona Tempe Mission and we got 18 missionaries with Flagstaff joining our mission.  Elder Lovstedt in my District is getting transferred so we are getting a new missionary in our District on Wednesday.  30 new missionaries are coming this transfer which is the biggest transfer yet with the increase in missionaries.  Well, that was my great week here in the mission field doing the Lord's work.  I testify that our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ lives and loves us ALL.  I testify that this Gospel is true and it was restored through Joseph Smith.  Thomas S. Monson is God's servant that continues to guide his church today so we continue on the straight path back to our Heavenly Father.  I love and miss you all.  Take care and have a great week.

Love,
Elder Lance Kuhi Cabral
