Aloha Family and Friends,
How is everyone doing? I had another great week in the mission
field sharing the Gospel. The weather was pretty nice this week, except
for a few days it was hot - 105 degrees. We had some great lessons with
Laredda this week. She is doing well, still struggling with the Word
of Wisdom but cutting down on smoking. We went over the baptism
interview questions with her and found out she is on probation so she
cannot get baptized until December when she is done with probation. We
were so bummed to hear that but it gives her a lot of time to learn more
about the Gospel and build her testimony. We hope she keeps that
spirit going strong until she can get baptized. We also had a great
lesson with Dylan a 16 year old. We taught him about reading the Book
of Mormon and prayer to strengthen our Faith and get guidance. Our
recent converts Shelly, Sandy, and Roobie are doing really well in the
Gospel. It is a wonderful feeling to see how they progress in the
Gospel after they get baptized and confirmed with the Holy Ghost to
comfort them. They seem so much happier every time we see them and help
them grow in the Gospel. We went to visit Peter G. and told him we miss
seeing him at church. He has not been coming the past few weeks. Well
that was my great week in Phoenix serving the Lord and helping our
Heavenly Father's children receive the Gospel. I love being a
missionary and sharing the greatest message about the Gospel to all
those that want to hear it. I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus
Christ lives and wants us to be happy in this life and for eternity. My
prayers are with you all.
Love, Elder Lance Kuhi Cabral
