*Congratulations RYCHELLE & MAHALO Sisters for Sharing Your Talents*

Dear Family and Friends,

How is everyone's summer going?  Well for me, it was another fantastic week here in the mission field.  We had an awesome baptism for Rychelle Clark.  The spirit was so strong through her baptism service.  She was so excited and anxious for the day to come so that she could follow our Savior Jesus Christ and be baptized.  It was so spiritual as 2 sisters in the Relief Society gave talks on Baptism and the Holy Ghost.  Then some of the young women sang a beautiful musical number to bring the Spirit in so greatly before the Ordinance of Baptism.  Then I had the privilege to baptize Rychelle and help her become spiritually reborn as a Disciple of Jesus Christ and enter the gate towards Eternal Life.  She was so happy as she came out of the water.  Then we had a brother who served his mission in Arizona bear his testimony in Navojo to Rychelle.  It was wonderful & spiritual experience.  Then she got confirmed the Holy Ghost on Sunday and became the newest member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  That was my highlight of the week, but the rest of the week was also great. We had a lesson with a lady we have been teaching for a while - Joanne.  She loves when we come over because she is 77 and lonely so she likes to talk about her life.  We taught her about agency because she has some family members that are Mormon but do not live some of the commandments.  So she is not sure if she wants to get Baptized.  We keep teaching her but it might take a while for her to gain a testimony that the Restored Gospel is true.  We also taught a new investigator Diane on Tuesday but she has some questions about the Book of Mormon.  Her boyfriend is a member but less active so we are trying to also get him active.  A cool experience in tracting this week was on Saturday, I was on an exchange with Elder Anderson and we knocked on this house and the lady came out and told us she wanted to come to church and it was crazy how we knocked on her door.  The spirit is awesome, how our Heavenly Father truly does prepare people to hear the Gospel and how it can bless them.  She came to church on Sunday with her sister and two kids and they had a great time.  On Saturday, we also went to the Phoenix Temple site with some recent converts, Diane and her boyfriend Marcus came.  It was great to see the progress of the temple being built.  Elder and Sister Winchell - couple missionaries assigned to the temple gave us a tour and talked about history of temples and what we do in the temple and how it is so important for us to return to live with our Heavenly Father and Families for Eternity.  It should be completed in a year and a half, so hopefully I have a chance to see it and go inside before I finish my mission.  Sunday was a great Sabbath day we had some great talks in sacrament on the Blessings of the Temples.  Temples are truly the House of the Lord where we go to make covenants with God and families can be sealed for time and all eternity.  Everything we do in the Gospel should lead us to Temple so we can enjoy the fulness of the Gospel and return to the highest degree in the Celestrial kingdom and enjoy Exaltation.  It is so great to prepare people for Baptism so one day they can enjoy the peace and the blessing of the Temples.  Baptism is the only gateway to eternal life we still need to go to the Temple and make additional ordinances that are required for our Salvation.  I hope all my recent converts work towards entering the Temple some day.  We also had a cottage meeting at President Cathcart (Stake Presidency) where all the missionaries in the zone bring their investigators and he gives an awesome lesson on the Restoration of the Gospel and how we can know for ourselves by reading and praying about the Book of Mormon.  Well that was my great week in the mission field.  Hope all is going well with everyone.  The weather was pretty good this week, some days were hot and some days rained.  My prayers are with you all.

Take Care Love,
Elder Lance Kuhi Cabral
